McLean, VA - Basement Remodel
Project Background
Project Goals
This 2024 basement renovation in McLean, Virginia transformed an unfinished and outdated basement into a bright, modern living space with upgraded flooring, finishes, and lighting.
The project began with the removal of the remaining existing basement flooring and carpet. Our team then installed new luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring throughout the basement, creating a durable and modern surface designed to withstand moisture while maintaining the look of natural wood.
To complement the new flooring, we installed new hardwood stair treads leading upstairs, giving the staircase a clean and updated appearance that connects the basement to the rest of the home.
The basement was then completely refreshed with a full interior repaint, providing a brighter and more modern look. We also sprayed all new baseboards and doors, giving the trim a smooth factory-style finish that elevates the overall quality of the space.
To complete the renovation, we updated the basement electrical system, improving lighting and functionality throughout the newly finished space.
The result is a clean, open basement that can now function as a recreation area, living space, or guest suite.
