This project began as a kitchen renovation but quickly expanded into a full first-floor remodel. The homeowners wanted to modernize the kitchen while improving circulation and flow between the kitchen, dining, and living areas.
The original kitchen layout felt closed off and inefficient. During demolition and construction, additional issues were uncovered, including mold in the fireplace wall assembly, which required a full rebuild of the fireplace area.
To create a cohesive space across the first floor, the project expanded to include refinishing the hardwood floors, repainting the entire first floor, updating lighting throughout, and removing a partition wall to improve the overall layout.
