falls church, va - custom bathroom with hidden storage
project background
This bathroom renovation was part of a collaborative design process with the homeowner. The existing bathroom had good bones but suffered from inefficient layout decisions, including a large, awkward closet located adjacent to the bathroom that disrupted the flow of the space.
Rather than eliminating the storage entirely, we redesigned the layout to incorporate the closet directly into the bathroom as a hidden storage feature. This allowed the bathroom to feel larger and more functional while maintaining valuable storage space.
The renovation included rebuilding the bathroom from the studs up, improving insulation, relocating mechanical systems, upgrading electrical and HVAC systems, and installing custom finishes throughout the space.
The result is a clean, timeless bathroom design that combines traditional millwork with carefully executed tile work and hidden storage.
